Why should we use a resin trap filter?

Resin entering the water system will seriously affect the normal operation of downstream equipment. If not handled in time, there will be serious safety hazards. There are many ways to avoid these problems, among which installing a resin trap strainer is the most economical option.
一Generally speaking, the resin trap filter is installed near the outlet of equipment containing resin such as ion exchangers. Of course, it can also appear anywhere in the pipeline. Our trainer uses a high-quality wedge wire screen as the core accessory.
The reason why we chose a wedge wire resin trap screen is that it is not easy to clog and is easy to clean. Its gap size can be adjusted and is often much smaller than the resin size.
As the equipment runs longer, a large amount of resin will get stuck in the gaps. At this time, the filter screen needs to be removed and reverse-flushed using a high-pressure water gun. The entire rinsing process will be completed in a very short time. After rinsing, it can be put back into the trainer and continued to be used. At present, we have developed a self-cleaning resin trap strainer to reduce labor and improve work efficiency.
Resin Trap Strainer for Ion Exchange
Ion exchangers mainly appear in various water treatment processes. The exchange agents it uses are mainly resins of various specifications and qualities. Due to various reasons such as operational problems or damage to the drainage device. Sometimes it will cause leakage of resin, and it is not easy to find the problem.
Due to resin leakage, the flow rate of pipeline systems such as gate valves is affected, and even causes blockage. In serious cases, safety accidents may occur, directly affecting production. At the same time, resin is expensive, and a large amount of resin loss will also cause some economic losses.
After using the resin trap strainer, you can achieve the effect of fully recovering the resin. Not only is production safety guaranteed, but major economic losses are also avoided. The resin trap strainer generally includes water inlet and outlet, cylinder, resin trap filter, pressure detector drain valve, etc. We use high-quality wedge wire screens, which can work efficiently for a long time.

Mixed Bed Resin Trap Filter
Mixed bed resin includes anionic resin and cationic resin. They are a high-efficiency ion exchange resin mixed in a certain proportion. The mixed bed resin trap filter removes most of the cations and anions in the water through its powerful ion exchange capability. This achieves the purpose of controlling impurities in water and improving water quality.
Internal structure: From top to bottom: resin layer, filter layer, resin trap screen. The resin layer is the core part of the mixed-bed resin trap, including anionic resin and cationic resin, forming a filter layer. The main function of the filter layer is to filter particulate matter in the water to prevent clogging or contamination of the mixed bed resin. The resin trap screen at the bottom can collect impurities and ionic substances for easy discharge during cleaning and maintenance.
Working principle： When water flows through the mixed bed resin trap, it first passes through the filter layer. Remove most suspended particles and contaminants from the water to avoid clogging or contaminating the resin layer. Then, the cations and anions in the water stay on the resin layer, and ion exchange occurs. Finally, it goes through the mixed bed resin trap filter to reduce the ion concentration in the water.
Self Cleaning Resin Traps
The key materials in water treatment systems are ion exchange resins, which are tiny particles of 0.45-1.25 mm. After being broken, it is easy to mix into pure water and then enter the boiler. It decomposes into acidic substances after high temperatures, thus seriously affecting water quality and boiler safety.
To prevent ion exchange resin from leaking into pure water, resin traps are used at the outlet of the ion exchanger or on the desalted water main pipe.
Conventional resin traps and the use of high-quality wedge wire screens can also cause clogging problems. This has nothing to do with product quality. Under long-term operation, it has to be cleaned manually. Therefore, we developed self-cleaning resin traps, which can automatically clean without stopping the machine, saving labor and maintenance time.
